The excellent level of relations and cooperation between Cyprus and Georgia was confirmed during a meeting of Georgia`s President Giorgi Margvelashvili with Cyprus` new ambassador to the country, Kyriakos Kenevezos.
An official statement said Ambassador Kenevezos presented his credentials on Wednesday to Margvelashvili during a ceremony as Cyprus` new ambassador to Georgia based in Athens.
After the ceremony, Kenevezos had a private meeting with Margvelashvili where the good level of relations and cooperation between the two countries was confirmed and the interest to further strengthen relations at both bilateral and international level were expressed.
Kenevezos also held bilateral meetings with Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Gigi Gigiadze and State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration David Bakradze, where there was an extensive exchange of views and a discussion on issues of common interest.
The Cypriot diplomat also informed his interlocutors on the current situation on the Cyprus problem.
