Οι θρύλοι του κλασικού ροκ έρχονται στην Κύπρο για να γιορτάσουν την επέτειο της 50 ετούς πορείας τους με ένα τρίωρο σόου, για πρώτη φορά στην ιστορία τους! Οι δημιουργοί πολλών εμβληματικών τραγουδιών, μεταξύ των οποίων τα Easy Living και July Morning, θα ερμηνεύσουν όλες τις επιτυχίες τους σε δύο μεγαλειώδη live, στη Λεμεσό στις 20 Σεπτεμβρίου 2022 και τη Λευκωσία στις 22 Σεπτεμβρίου 2022.
Μαζί με τους μεγάλους Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath και Deep Purple οι Uriah Heep έπαιξαν πρωταγωνιστικό ρόλο στην εξέλιξη του κλασικού hard rock ήχου. Το ντεμπούτο άλμπουμ τους …Very ‘Eavy, …Very’ Umble σήμανε την εμφάνιση ενός νέου μουσικού κινήματος που θα μεσουρανούσε στα 70s και θα ενισχυόταν ακόμα περισσότερο στα 80s.

Οι Uriah Heep συχνά αναφέρονται ως σημαντική επιρροή διάσημων συγκροτημάτων, μεταξύ των οποίων οι Iron Maiden, Queen, Ghost και King Diamond. Η μουσική τους άντεξε στον χρόνο και τη φήμη και ακούγεται τόσο διαχρονική, που δεν αφήνει ασυγκίνητες ούτε τις νεότερες γενιές.
Σε συνέντευξή τους στο Sea of Tranquility τον περασμένο Ιούλιο, ο κιθαρίστας Mick Box και ο μπασίστας Dave Rimmer επιβεβαίωσαν ότι η μπάντα σχεδίαζε να ξεκινήσει τις ηχογραφήσεις για το 26ο άλμπουμ τους στις αρχές του 2021. Πενήντα ολόκληρα χρόνια μετά τον σχηματισμό της μπάντας, λοιπόν, ο ήλιος συνεχίζει να λάμπει πάνω από τους Uriah Heep που από το 1969 έως σήμερα είναι τόσο δεμένοι με τους θαυμαστές τους όσο λίγα συγκροτήματα. The legends of classic hard rock, URIAH HEEP are coming to Cyprus to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their music career! The creators of such iconic songs as Easy Living and July Morning will perform your favourite hits with large-scale concerts in Limassol on 20th of September 2022 and in Nicosia on 22nd of September 2022!
Along with the iconic Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, URIAH HEEP played a significant role in the development of classic hard rock. The band’s debut album Very ‘Eavy, Very’ Umble heralded the emergence of a new movement that would reign in the 70s of the twentieth century and only strengthen its position in the 80s.
“Gypsy”, “Bird of Prey” and “Walking in Your Shadow” – are you familiar with these songs? These songs have started the great 50-year history of the URIAH HEEP, which lead them to the upcoming tour. During their astounding career, URIAH HEEP have released countless studio and live albums, sold over 45 million records worldwide, and played over 4,000 epic concerts in 60 countries. URIAH HEEP are musicians who have been acknowledged as an influence by numerous acts, including Iron Maiden, Queen, Ghost, King Diamond. The music of URIAH HEEP was tested by both time and fame and still every generation can find something of their own to love their music for.
In a July 2020 interview with Sea of Tranquility, guitarist Mick Box and bassist Dave Rimmer confirmed that Uriah Heep were scheduled to begin recording their 26th studio album in early 2021. When asked about a possible release date, Box said, “I think release is all down to the record company, I’ve gotta be honest. We never get a shout on that. They always seem to have some reason to release it at this time, that time, whatever time”.
The point of all this is that even now, 50 years after the band’s inception, the sun seems to be shining down upon Uriah Heep. If there’s another band born in 1969 that has stayed as engaged with their fans as Heep, all the power to them. But for leader of the band, Mick Box, music has never been a competition—him and the band will keep spreading their many messages of positivity all over the world and gaining new fans along the way. Their songs and music have stood the test of time, and with even more new songs on the horizon the mighty Heep are as strong and powerful as ever.
