The fifth excursion in a series of visits to the museums of Polis Chrysochous–Akamas, organised by the Pafos Regional Board of Tourism (PRBT), took place last Saturday with outstanding success.
The coach was almost fully booked, while participants expressed great enthusiasm for both the guided experience and the sites included in the itinerary. Nearly all remaining departures on 6, 13, 20 and 27 June 2026 are also close to full capacity.
The excursions are held every Saturday during May and June 2026. The initiative is aimed at both local residents and visitors, contributing to the enhancement of domestic tourism and the balanced development of the Pafos region.
The programme also forms part of the broader mission of the Pafos Regional Board of Tourism to strengthen environmental awareness, enhance the quality of the visitor experience, and promote lesser-known areas of the district.
Participants have the opportunity to explore the world of biodiversity, discover the richness and importance of the region’s marine ecosystem, and learn about significant archaeological findings that testify to the long and fascinating history of Polis Chrysochous.
The excursion programme is supported by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and the Municipalities of Polis Chrysochous and Akamas. It is offered completely free of charge, with departure from the Kato Pafos Archaeological Park at 09:15 and return to the same location at 16:30.
The Pafos Regional Board of Tourism continues to implement targeted initiatives that highlight lesser-promoted areas, further strengthening the position of the Pafos district as a modern, sustainable and diverse tourism destination.
