Την Πέμπτη 8 Ιουνίου 2023, στις 21:00 το βράδυ, το πρόγραμμα του ΡΙΚ1 θα ξεχειλίζει από αγάπη, καθώς ο Τηλεμαραθώνιος TELETHON επιστρέφει στη δημόσια τηλεόραση, από όπου ξεκίνησε το 1994!
Σε μια ζωντανή, μαραθώνια εκπομπή προσφοράς, η καρδιά των τηλεθεατών θα κτυπά για τον φιλανθρωπικό θεσμό TELETHON, με στόχο την οικονομική στήριξη των ατόμων με μυοπάθειες, αλλά και την προώθηση των ερευνητικών προγραμμάτων του Ινστιτούτου Νευρολογίας και Γενετικής Κύπρου.
Σε αυτή την προσπάθεια, θα ενώσουν δυνάμεις το Ραδιοφωνικό Ίδρυμα Κύπρου (ΡΙΚ) και ο ALPHA Κύπρου, και μαζί θα μεταφέρουν από το πρωί τα μηνύματα του φιλανθρωπικού θεσμού TELETHON, προβάλλοντας καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια της ημέρας πληροφορίες και ειδικά αφιερώματα. Το βράδυ της Πέμπτης 8 Ιουνίου, οι αγαπημένοι παρουσιαστές Χριστιάνα Αριστοτέλους και Σταύρος Κυπριανού, θα υποδεχθούν τους τηλεθεατές, μέσω της συχνότητας του ΡΙΚ, σε μια ξεχωριστή βραδιά γεμάτη ψυχαγωγία και έντονα συναισθήματα, έχοντας στο πλευρό τους πολλούς καλεσμένους που θα μεταφέρουν ανθρώπινες ιστορίες που αξίζουν τον θαυμασμό μας, αλλά και μηνύματα στήριξης και ελπίδας στους συνανθρώπους μας που το έχουν τόσο ανάγκη στις δύσκολες στιγμές που περνούν. Το καλλιτεχνικό πρόγραμμα θα πλαισιώνουν οι αγαπημένοι τραγουδιστές Λούκας Γιώρκας και Στέλλα Γεωργιάδου.
Καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια του φετινού Τηλεμαραθωνίου, θα λειτουργεί τηλεφωνικό κέντρο που έχει αναλάβει η CYTA, στελεχωμένο από εθελοντές μεταξύ των οποίων δημοφιλείς καλλιτέχνες και γνωστές προσωπικότητες, που θα καταγράφουν τις εισφορές των τηλεθεατών.
Η εκπομπή θα μεταδίδεται ταυτόχρονα από το δορυφορικό κανάλι του ΡΙΚ, αλλά και διαδικτυακά.

TELETHON TV Marathon returns on CyBC with heart-warming impact
The highly anticipated TELETHON TV marathon is set to make a triumphant comeback on CyBC 1, on Thursday, June 8th, 2023, at 21:00. CyBC1 will once again become the platform for this charitable event, as it did during its inaugural year in 1994, promising an evening overflowing with love and compassion.
During this extraordinary live broadcast, viewers’ hearts will beat in unison for the philanthropic institution TELETHON. The primary goal of TELETHON is to provide crucial financial support to individuals with muscular dystrophy and promote the research programs of the esteemed Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics.
In a united effort, the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) and ALPHA Cyprus have joined forces to bring the messages and purpose of TELETHON to the public throughout the day. During the day, on Thursday, June 8th their TV programs will be dedicated to sharing vital information about TELETHON. Then, in the evening, two well-known and beloved presenters, Christiana Aristotelous and Stavros Kyprianou, will welcome viewers to CyBC for a special night filled with entertainment and profound emotions. Accompanying them will be a line-up of distinguished guests who will share remarkable human stories that deserve our admiration. They will also deliver messages of support and hope for our fellow citizens who are facing challenging times. The artistic program will feature captivating performances by the beloved singers Loukas Giorkas and Stella Georgiadou.
Throughout the live broadcast, a dedicated call center operated by CYTA will be available. Staffed by volunteers, including popular artists and well-known personalities, the call center will facilitate the recording of viewers’ generous donations.
The broadcast will be simultaneously aired on CyBC’s satellite channel RIKSAT and online, ensuring a wide audience can engage with this remarkable event.
