Συναγερμός σήμανε στο λιμάνι των Παξών, καθώς τουριστικό σκάφος που εκτελεί ημερήσιες κρουαζιέρες τυλίχθηκε στις φλόγες με αποτέλεσμα η φωτιά να επεκταθεί και σε δεύτερο.
Όπως φαίνεται σε βίντεο πυκνοί μαύροι καπνοί υψώνονται πάνω από το λιμάνι, ενώ τα σκάφη έχουν παραδοθεί στις φλόγες.
Σύμφωνα με τις Αρχές δεν έχει υπάρξει κάποιος τραυματισμός.
Σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες του kerkyrasimera.gr η φωτιά ξεκίνησε όταν ημερόπλοιο που εκτελεί τουριστικές κρουαζιέρες τυλίχθηκε στις φλόγες, από άγνωστη έως τώρα αιτία. Ωστόσο οι φλόγες εξαπλώθηκαν πολύ γρήγορα και σε παρακείμενο σκάφος.
Οι ίδιες πληροφορίες αναφέρουν πως λίγο πριν ξεσπάσει η φωτιά, από το τουριστικό σκάφος είχαν αποβιβαστεί οι επιβάτες, οι οποίοι νωρίτερα είχαν κάνει το δρομολόγιο της ημερήσιας εκδρομής Πάργα-Παξοί.
Στο σημείο μεταβαίνουν ισχυρές πυροσβεστικές δυνάμεις από Ηγουμενίτσα, καθώς είναι δύσκολο η φωτιά να τεθεί υπό έλεγχο και υπάρχει φόβος να επεκταθούν οι φλόγες και άλλα σκάφη.

«Εκδηλώθηκε πυρκαγιά σε δύο ερασιτεχνικά/αναψυχής σκάφη χωρίς επιβαίνοντες, πλησίον του νέου επιβατικού σταθμού Γαΐου Παξών.
Στο σημείο επιχειρούν ένα πλωτό σκάφος του Λιμενικού Σώματος, τρία οχήματα της Πυροσβεστικής Υπηρεσίας και ένα ασθενοφόρο όχημα του ΕΚΑΒ, ενώ προς ενίσχυση μεταβαίνουν δύο πλοιάρια της Πυροσβεστικής Υπηρεσίας και ένα ρυμουλκό.
Από το περιστατικό δεν αναφέρθηκε κάποιος τραυματισμός.
