The trial of the civil lawsuit filed by businessman Lambros Christofi against Lefteris & Antonis Milos from Larnaca and Efthymiou Flourentzos, former Minister, and the company Fesforo Ltd as instigators and responsible for the malicious prosecution of Mr Christofi in 2011, continued in October with 5 new hearings that were held at the Nicosia District Court, with claims tens of millions of euros in damages.
The Judge has also set 6 new hearings on 3, 5, 6, 19, 20 and 27 November 2025 with the aim of completing the Plaintiff’s case.
After four days of cross-examination of the Plaintiff by the Defendants’ lawyers, it became clear that their continuous and consistent line of defence was that the Police were to blame for everything.
Much was said during these four days, and the Plaintiff’s cross-examination was intense. We will present in another article what was the content of the cross examination.
In the Plaintiff’s written statement, for which he was confronted, Mr Christofi analysed in detail the companies of the Christofi Group that were affected by this unjust and malicious prosecution of himself, and he listed the events as they unfolded in 2009-2011.
There was continuous reference to the report by Athena Pamboris, which the Defendants’ lawyers repeatedly invoked. Mr Chritstosi explained in detail how the Defendants managed to deliberately, with a plan and in an organized manner, mislead the Prosecution Authorities and, initially the Justice Department. Finally, he specifically referred to the damages caused by the Defendants with their actions as well as the Defendants’ motives that led them to the decision to plan and carry out this evil unjust prosecution.
The written statement of Lambros Christofi consisted of 24 pages and was accompanied by hundreds of pages of evidence.
