Το Cyprus Forum, το μεγαλύτερο συνέδριο πολιτικής στην Κύπρο, διοργανώνεται φέτος για 5η συνεχόμενη χρονιά. Θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 3 και 4 Οκτωβρίου στη Λευκωσία από το Oxygen for Democracy σε συνεργασία με το Delphi Economic Forum και το Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου και τελείται υπό την αιγίδα της Προεδρίας της Δημοκρατίας. Οι διοργανωτές του Cyprus Forum θέτουν για ακόμα μια χρονιά ψηλά τον πήχη, προσκαλώντας σημαντικές προσωπικότητες από την Κύπρο και το εξωτερικό.
Η τελετή έναρξης θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο ιστορικό Παλαιό Δημαρχείο Λευκωσίας και ακολούθως θα διεξαχθούν συνολικά 64 ώρες συζητήσεων στο Παλαιό Δημαρχείο Λευκωσίας και το εμβληματικό Λήδρα Πάλας, κτήρια τα οποία έχουν σημειολογική αξία για την πολιτική του νησιού.
Οι συζητήσεις του φετινού forum, θα επικεντρωθούν όπως και τα προηγούμενα χρόνια σε θέματα Δημοκρατίας και Κράτους Δικαίου, Εξωτερικής Πολιτικής, Διατήρησης της Ειρήνης, Βιωσιμότητας, Τεχνολογίας και Καινοτομίας.
Την επιστημονική επιμέλεια των συζητήσεων έχουν αναλάβει επιστημονικοί εταίροι (knowledge partners) τόσο από την Κύπρο όσο και από το εξωτερικό, όπως το European Policy Centre, το ΕΛΙΑΜΕΠ, το Cyprus Economic Society, η Διεθνής Διαφάνεια, το Atlantic Council, Cyprus Center for European and International Affairs, το University of York Department of Politics, το PRIO, το Eastern Mediterranean Project at Oxford, η Παγκόσμια Τράπεζα, το EU Tax Observatory, το Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung κ.ά, οι οποίοι συνδράμουν στη διαμόρφωση του περιεχομένου και την επιλογή των ομιλητών.
Περισσότεροι από 200 ομιλητές θα λάβουν μέρος στις συζητήσεις, μεταξύ των οποίων πολιτικοί αξιωματούχοι, τεχνοκράτες και ακαδημαϊκοί από την Κύπρο και το εξωτερικό.

The 5th Cyprus Forum is coming in October
The Cyprus Forum, the largest policy conference in Cyprus, is being organised for the 5th consecutive year. It will be held on 3rd and 4th of October in Nicosia by Oxygen for Democracy, in cooperation with the Delphi Economic Forum and the University of Cyprus. The event will be held under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic. Once again, the organisers of the Cyprus Forum are setting the bar high by inviting prominent personalities from Cyprus and abroad.
The opening ceremony will take place at the historic Old Town Hall of Nicosia and will be followed by 64 hours of discussions at both the Old Town Hall and the iconic Ledra Palace – buildings that are symbolic of the politics of the island.
As in previous years, the forum will focus on Democracy and the Rule of Law, Foreign Policy, Peacekeeping, Sustainability, and Technology and Innovation.
Knowledge partners from Cyprus and abroad, such as the European Policy Centre, ELIAMEP, the Cyprus Economic Society, Transparency International, the Atlantic Council, the Cyprus Center for European and International Affairs, the University of York Department of Politics, PRIO, the Eastern Mediterranean Project at Oxford, the World Bank, the EU Tax Observatory, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, and others, have taken on the scientific curatorship of the discussions and are assisting in formulating the content and selecting speakers.
More than 200 speakers, including political officials, technocrats, and academics from Cyprus and abroad, will participate in the discussions.
