The Representative of the Press Office of Police, stated that around 20:10 last night, a car driven by 41 year old at Spyros Kyprianou Avenue in Limassol was crashed with a motorcycle driven by 25 year old Thanasis Tsakania, under conditions that are still investigated.
The motorcyclist, who was wearing a protective helmet, was seriously injured and initially was taken to Limassol’s General Hospital.
Due to his critical condition, it was decided to transfer him to Nicosia General Hospital. During his transport to Nicosia he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver was arrested and he went through an alcotest, with the results showing zero indication.
The autopsy will take place this morning in Limassol’s Hospital.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Traffic of Limassol.
