Yesterday, between 6:50 pm – 10 pm, members of Limassol ELD, under a coordinated operation conducted investigations at three premises in Limassol to fight the phenomenon of dice playing.
During the investigation, 306 gambling chips, 314 playing cards and a small amount of money were identified and foreclosed as evidence.
At the same time, 14 persons were identified for dice playing and were charge in writing for the offense committed. The three managers of the premises were accused as well.
Limassol’s Department for Minor Offences and St. John’s Police Station continue the investigations.
Yesterday, between the hours of 6 pm – 7.30 pm, members of Nicosia ELD, under a coordinated operation conducted investigations at Nicosia premises to fight the phenomenon of dice playing.
During the investigation 18 gambling chips, 107 playing cards and the amount of €1.620, were identified and foreclosed as evidence.
7 persons were identified for dice playing and were charge in writing for the offense committed. 11 persons were checked further and it was found that 6 of these had already pending warrants.
The investigations are continued.
