Annual average number of government labour force increases in 2016

The figures, released on Wednesday, show that the average government labour force fell from 52.199 in 2011 to 51.153 in 2012, 49.474 in 2013, 48.308 in 2014 and 48.014 in 2015, while in 2016 increased to 48.630.

Since 2012 there has been a reduction of the permanent personnel in the government, while the temporary personnel has been increasing.

The previous year saw an increase of 1.106 persons in the annual average number of temporary employees to 12.026, compared with 10.920 in 2015, while the average number of permanent employees declined to 36.605 from 37.094 in 2015.
