At this time, the Parliamentary Finance Committee, with the Chairman Nicolas Papadopoulos, President of DIKO, is examining the draft report of the Commission for the State Budget of 2014.
After the report’s approval by the parliamentary parties, the report will be submitted to the Plenary. As it is already known, the debate on adopting the budget will begin on Wednesday and will end on Thursday.
The Finance Minister Harris Georgiades, as stated in his speech during the last session of the Plenary of Parliament, ‘this is a deficit budget, but presenting the outlines of the new budget, – he highlighted- the risk of Cyprus’s economic collapse has expired’.
