At CTO they wanted to finish the share cut of their advertisement appropriation worth 8.5 million as fast as they could, by convening a special meeting. The advertisement was regarding the view of the Agency in 2014.
According to information from 24h, the Minister of Energy George Lakkotrypis has sent today a letter to the Directors of CTO and asked them not to take any decision to engage the next Board that will soon arise.
With this move, Mr. Lakkotrypis put on “ice” the decisions taken on the promotional package of €8,5 million.
According to the same information, it appears that there was an oral agreement between the Minister of Energy and the Board of CTO. Besides, Mr. Lakkotrypi’s intervention could only be done on the principle of the matter.
The Minister of Trade and EAC acted on a similar way, as today a Board meeting was about to take place on the topic of advertising and the distributed amount.
