Newspapers: Noble’s conclusions at the center of attention

Noble’s conclusions concerning the oil reserves between Cyprus and Israel, are estimated in 3 billion barrels of oil, of which 1.4 billion are in the Cypriot EEZ, the announcement of Central Bank for the seven steps that a borrower needs to follow under the Directive and the Code of Conduct for Handling Borrowers, Cyprus problem and today’s meeting of party leaders with the President of the Republic, are the main topics of today’s press.

‘Alithia’ under the heading “Smaller Cuts in bonuses!” writes that conciliatory solutions are sought today in order to save at least a part of employees benefits of 27 branches with a shift system, with the aim of reaching an agreement before the enactment of state budget. In another topic of the newspaper it is written that Noble estimates the deposits of Cyprus and Israel in billion barrels of oil, of which 1.4 billion belong to the Cypriot EEZ. These quantities are worth 60 billion, according to experts. Also we can read about the seven steps that a borrower needs to follow, under the Directive and the Code of Conduct for Handling Borrowers that Central Bank had prepared yesterday.

‘Simerini’ under the heading “Shelter for all by 2018” writes that we will not see any family on the streets , because of divestitures of assets from banks, at least until 2018. The Association of Banks clarified to Borrower’s Association that divestitures are not a priority. The Association also confirms the oil forecast in Block 12. ‘Haravgi’ highlights the main theme titled “Reply to the T / C proposal” and writes down that there is a proposal from the T / C side and United Nations expect the response of the G / C side in order for the next steps to be decided. Elsewhere it writes about the visit to Larnaca’s hospital that was done yesterday by the General Secretary of AKEL, where he was informed about the delay in the expansion of nursing. It is also written that the hourly labor cost was decreased by 7.6% and according to Eurostat it was the largest decrease in Eurozone after Greece.

«Cyprus Mail» under the title “Block 12 may generate petroleum jackpot “writes that time will show if indebted Cyprus will beat jackpot after Noble’s announcement that there may be 1.5 billion barrels of oil in the Cyprus EEZ . It also writes about the Gay magazine in U.S. that named Francis Pope as the Man of Time. “CM” writes in another column that the state is seeking other ways to stop Greek Cypriots to resort to the so-called Committee for their occupied properties.
