The budget of 2014 was approved

 

MPs of DISY, DIKO and EVROKO voted in favor of the budget, MPs of AKEL, the Greens and Citizens Alliance voted it down, while 4 MPs of EDEK were absent.       

The budget predicts expenditures (regular and developmental ones) for which the approval of sought payment is needed (excluding the expenditures charged on the Consolidated Fund of the Republic), amounting to €5.180.741.287 (initial budget without the amendments that were tabled in the meantime by the Ministry of Finance) and presents a cost reduction of 10% compared to the initially budgeted and approved expenditures of 2013 budget (not including supplementary budgets of 2013).

GDP (at current prices) for 2014 is predicted to €15.952 million against €16.423, 9 million for 2013 and €17.720 million for 2012.

Total revenue for 2014 is budgeted at €5.638, 5 million (excluding financial flows). All costs included in the state budget of 2014 (including the costs borne directly on the Consolidated Fund of the Republic as well as loan repayments , which do not require approval by the House), budgeted at € 7.740.111.506 (budgeted) versus €9.513.379.645 (budgeted) for 2013. For 2015, total expenditure is budgeted at €8.029.447.000 and for the year 2016 at €7.224.139.000.

We should also mention that at the same time, 69 amendments concerning cuts and crossing allocations were voted.
