This is the first decline that is recorded in the number of pending applications since October 2012, based on the available data.
Based on the available data, in late September 16,308 applications were pending, while in October 2012 10.721 applications were pending.
The number of applications submitted in October 2013 stood at 784. The same month 1,524 applications were approved and 267 were rejected.
The amount paid was totaled in 11,039,601 euros.
Overall, during the first ten months of 2013 11,724 applications were submitted for redundancy payment, where 6,161 were approved and 1,319 were rejected. The amount paid by the Redundancy Fund totaled in 52,754,082 euros.
The Minister of Labour and Social Insurance Zeta Emilianidou said that until Christmas the amounts for compensation of redundancy will have been paid until April 2013, for the applications which were fully completed and correct.
