The Turkish Cypriot side submitted a counterproposal for settlement on the Joint Communiqué, where they propose a single representation in abroad, but a joint sovereignty in Cyprus.
Turkish Cypriots argue that by this way, the rights of Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots will be respected. They further noted that this is their last proposal, and if it is not accepted either they will go into discussions without any agreement in the Joint Communiqué.
