Three International Houses are candidates for confederation

According to reports, the General Operation of Competition of the European Commission has asked for further clarification on some of the candidates, which were sent, and at the beginnings of the next year is expected that the Department will answer whether it accepts the proposed houses or not.

Basically, the House will take over office deputy’s responsibilities and will monitor the implementation of the restructuring plan of the Confederation. It will also monitor the faithful implementation of the framework that governs the cooperation between the Government and the Confederation. After the capital increase, Government has the 99 % of the share capital.

The choice of the house will be done by the Central Cooperative Bank, where the DG Competition will decide the appropriate houses. However, on the enactment that was issued by the Minister of Finance, it is provided that in case DG Competition considers that none of the houses is suitable, the procedure will be repeated and if after a retrial, DG Competition considers again that none of the proposed houses is suitable, then the DG will choose an independent house.
